  • Sergeant Heather J. Glenn 338 Scholarship

Annual scholarship established in loving memory of Sergeant Heather J. Glenn, by the Glenn family, to provide financial support for a student of a Perry County high school who has chosen to pursue a degree in the field of law enforcement.

Sergeant Heather J. Glenn grew up in Tell City and was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Following in the footsteps of her father, she pursued a career in law enforcement to fulfill a passion for serving her community. A career that spanned more than 20 years, Heather worked hard to earn the promotion to sergeant as well as being a field training officer and taser instructor with the Tell City Police Department. Through personal sacrifice and selfless acts, Heather set the standard for young officers joining the department. The future of TCPD was important to her, and she actively interacted with local youth to educate and promote the importance of law enforcement in our community. She was also instrumental in starting the Tell City Youth Police Academy.

Sergeant Glenn courageously served Tell City while remaining fair, empathetic, and respectful to others. On July 3, 2023, Sergeant Glenn's life was tragically taken as she responded to a domestic dispute. Her bravery, professionalism, and friendship will forever be missed by her family, friends, the Tell City Police Department, and the entire community.

May her memory live on through the promotion and support of the law enforcement profession within our community.
